We have cruised Carnival and RC previously. This fall we are going on our first HA cruise (7 day Eastern caribbean), and selected the "have it all" pkg. We originally chose HA because they have a priest on board, and we wanted to go to Mass while cruising. REally looking forward to this cruise in NOvember.

Great video - I live in the Galveston / Houston area - one other option that is being constructed right now are hotel and restaurant facilities in League City TX (very near Galveston that should be a winner for cruisers driving to Galveston).

I love Celebrity, but on longer cruises I have to go solo, and Celebrity charges more than 100% single supplement for solo customers.

Some people cannot afford to tip but they do pay there gratuity , and to be honest you do not even have to pay that (but I do think you should) But If your paying your gratuity, I see no problem if you cannot afford to pay extra tips,for some a cruise is a once in a lifetime experience I know many more people are in the lower income level then the higher. And any employee knows what there wage is and whats expected from there job as well as not eveytime will there be tips or bonuses, and they choose if they are going to work for that employer. I say tip what you can and enjoy your trip, and if you can tip more and want to please do, but do not judge others from your life view point because not everyones life view point is the same.And really what bussiness is it of anyones what another person is tipping or not tipping stay in your lane

Are there any drinks such as iced tea that are complementary? I'm going on an MSC cruise in October and I'm not buying a drink package because they are too expensive and I'm not a big alchol drinker to begin with.

This is not gratuities, this is a service fee.

We got lucky 🥰. We were prepared for a lot of rain. Ended up with rain only 1 day. Only saw Otters 🥰

The only port we found that isn't too touristy is Sitka, which is beautiful.

Just came back from my Alaska cruise. Reason #5 is the distance for most of us. The flights were an endurance contest...packed planes, grossly insufficient restrooms, bad weather (spent entire morning circling foggy Toronto, hours without food, great distances to walk in the terminals, etc.) First time in my life I gave up and called for a wheelchair. I think we had 6 bad weather days in Alaska but we had great luck whale-watching.. .have a lifetime of memories. Spent 5 nights in Vancouver and spent a fortune...that city is wonderful but EXPENSIVE. We have had 17 cruises and a bunch of European trips and gambling junkets but will not return to Alaska. My bucket list is complete (did Panama Canal last year). We saw plenty of whales, a few eagles fairly close, and some otters I think, No bears. Took the railroad from Skagway and it was actually light snow in Yukon. Did drink a sweet beaver and have a certificate to prove it. We were on Holland America's Koningsdam which was not run as well as the Eurodam. We have been on the Eurodam twice and loved it. We were suite guests and the VIP dining was bad...we ate in the main dining room more. Don't waste your money on Club Orange. Eurodam did not allow smoking in the casino which was heaven. Most of the casino on Koningsdam allowed smoking and you could smell it far away.

I am a Canadian whose ancestors mostly come from Scotland. I love Alaska. The weather doesn't phase me one bit. Sunny is fine. Rain and fog and cooler temperatures are fine too. It reminds me of spring and fall in Muskoka. My wife is genetically Caribbean and South Asian. She did not love Alaska.

You missed SeaDream Yacht Club in the top band. But I suppose that is fair, because SeaDream is yachting not cruising, as the strap line says. But as SeaDream is all inclusive and can go to smaller, more interesting ports, it is a wonderful alternative to normal cruise lines.

I accidentally brought a surge protected universal outlet splitter on my last cruise. They didn't find it but I wouldn't use it anyway as I know it's a fire hazard.

First Time Cruiser. Going on NCL. 10 day cruise. Prepaid my $20 per day. In addition to that. Who should I tip? Cabin Steward? Dining Room staff? I don't drink. Just lots of Diet Coke! How much per day would be recommended? Thanks for your help and advice.

Video poker awful, bad, won nothing.

Not being a North American (Brit) I think that your tipping culture has become a little bit excessive. The cost of my holiday should include the stateroom, the food and the crew's salary. If the cruise line (don't forget, a multi-billion dollar corporation) can't pay their staff a decent wage why should I subsidise that? If I want to give tips for service 'above and beyond' I certainly will (and have done many times in the past) but please don't expect me to cough upfront before I even step foot on the ship.

I won 1300 playing craps on my first cruise last month, already planning my second cruise.

If cruiselines actually paid the tipped employees higher wages and raise the fare, how many of the people complaining about automatic gratuities would then complain about the price of cruising being too. high for them to cruise ?

Would be a lot better if there was a link to book the Cruise you are looking at. getting a great price is one thing, trying to find the agent that is offering that price is another. Very time consuming. Think I will stick with "VacationsToGo".

I've done 3 TA and have another TA and a TP booked. For me they're the only cruises I'm interested in as I regard them as a pleasant way to get to/from the US while avoiding jetlag. I filled out your online form and am looking forward to your call.

Enjoyed a transatlantic (Bar-Fll) 7 years ago. It was like cruising in the Caribbean. Hugged the African coast then sharp right to Fll.. So I always want to know the ships route vs diagonal over Atlantic..
